Before studying the American Revolutionary War, we need to learn what events lead up to the war.  One such event was the French and Indian War.  We spent some time yesterday and today mapping out the Ohio River Valley, where a majority of the French and Indian War took place (the activity is linked here).

Students had to locate where different entities claimed territory; creating a visual representation of where and why the fighting was occurring in such a small area.
