My drawing has four sons. The first has ideas wondering all over in his mind and has a stack of books next to him, this is the wise child. The second is in all dark clothes and has shocks coming off of him, this is the wicked child. The third is a small kid and has stripped clothes and plaid pants and Rosey cheeks, this is the simple child. The last has a sadder face and is always confused, this is the silent or the child who didn’t know how to ask.
Say hola to the Olah, the burnt offering
Now we have the Mincha the 5 offerings of oil and flour
Then we have the Shelamim the peace offering this can only be done on the alter not anyplace
Now don’t be ashamed to bring the asham, the offering of sins
This is 4 candles and a bracelet. This is special to me because it been almost 4 months that my step-dad has been deployed and he sent me this bracelet from Irak. The 4 candles represent 4 months and the bracelet represents binding. I think this is holy because even though he isn’t Jewish my entire family thinks about him and he thinks about us every day most importantly Shabbat.
Esther wanted the jews to be able to protect themselves from threats, but the king needed to send those orders, so Esther asked the king for that right of the jews, then over 75,000 enemies were killed among the 127 provinces and Haman’s whole family was killed and impaled.
King A wanted to reward Mordecai because he found out from the book of records that Mordecai saved him, but he didn’t know how, so he asked Haman, who thought the reward was for him, what to do, then Mordecai was rewarded, Esther held her banquet and told King A about Haman’s plan, and Haman was impaled on a spear 50 cubits high.
What about this project went well for you?
One thing that went well for me was that I took charge in my group, I did this by when not everyone was helping, and I took leadership by getting things done when others won’t.
What about this project went well for your group?
Something that went well was that we accomplished our goal of trying to unwrap a present.
What would you change if you did the project again?
I would ask my group if they could help much more instead of me getting stressed about not finishing or failing. If that didn’t work I would try and get teachers to help me with that problem.
Haman wanted to kill all the Jews in Shushan. But Mordecai heard and informed Esther. So Esther went to the king and invited him and Haman to two feasts but couldn’t find the courage to tell the king about Haman’s plan. Then Haman and his wife plotted to set up stakes to Hang Mordecai 50 cubits high because he wouldn’t kneel.
On Tuesday, December 17, we held the first Zionist congress. In congress, we had representatives from France, Germany, the US, Israel, Syria, and Austria/Hertzl. I was in France, we were able to bring part of our culture. So we made crepes full of Nutella. We had to prepare a presentation and a speech for congress. We had to say good things bad things and our ideas on Zionism. At the end of the congress, we were able to decide our idea on Zionism
Today in science we made a big food web of the population of the great lakes. I had two animals, one of which was a Lake Whitefish and the other was the Great Blue Heron. The Great Blue Heron was at the top of the food web while the Lake whitefish was toward the middle. We got strings to show the food chains. In the end, I had so many strings because the Great Blue Heron ate so many organisms in the food web. I wonder what would happen if a disease came and wiped out two of the Great Blue Heron’s prey’s population. This activity helped me understand direct and indirect interactions because when we took out a population the chain would fall, and anyone who was connected to that chain would have a piece of string that would fall.
- How do you think your work so far has prepared you for this project?
My work so far has prepared me by showing me what I really have to do during the project and my steps will guide me through my work
- What has been most helpful to you in this process?
The most helpful thing has been comparing my plan with my group and getting their thoughts and feedback.
- How do you think working with a group will be helpful to you?
I think that working in a group will help me so we have different opinions, and can discuss what we do before we do it.
