This week, we had our second MATHCOUNTS club meeting. The energy in the room was exceptional while facing those challenges. We think out of the box, collaborate, getting excited and develop our math skills.
Ask your child to find a unique string of prime numbers that can be multiplied to produce the original number and is called The Prime Factorization of a Number. You can also question them what a tree has to do with it.
Once in a while, after a hard work in class, we take some time to play games which involve creativity, mathematical skills, riddles, problem solving etc. Our last game day was very productive. I had a chance to play with students that developed a new game, using a deck of cards. Although it was very challenging, we had such a great time and definitely have our skills developed.
We had an amazing week – the students worked very well, performed their math skills, supported each other and maintained a great atmosphere in class.
Today we decided to have A MATH GAME DAY .
We played FRACTION WAR card game and FRACTION DOMINO
We had a great time and practiced some skills as well.
