Asked Michal to send a demo lesson- did not want to do it.

Michal suggested teaching less – 2-3 vocab words a lesson  – more practice with less words

next steps: Add directions to slides for clarity for students

Linsey ask Michal about english on slides – how does she feel about this?

6th grade- Jerusalem Unit

Linsey will observe 4th grade

Oct 7

We talked about making class engaging and more experimental. Linsey will come to observe 6th grade and plan the next unit together to try make it more connected to students’ needs and interests.

Goals:

Tried centers with 2nd grade – need to practice protocol
7/8 compared schools – make an advertisement for MJDS – what they have/what they don’t have

Date:  9/16

Learning Partner Conversation:

Used Quizlet and Kahoot in class – used silly names – gave another chance but didn’t work, kids were disappointed but it was a good opportunity to show expectations need to be followed

Centers with 2nd grade – help with Rick? will help differentiate with instruction.

performances and act out situations to help learn

use flip grid or google voice to have them practice reading to you

started in English with 2nd grade – this helped! 🙂

go slow to go fast – allow the process to go slow

going to try using an agenda

Learning Partner Conversation:

Linsey explained about parents night and went over my classes description.

We talked about challenges and also came up with a few possible solutions. (see below)

Thank you, Linsey!

Reflection:  (need prompts?)

Need to work on classroom management: 1. classroom expectations – hand on wall and go over every lesson (as needed).

2. use voice level posters.

3. use consequences or reflection sheets. also keep parents in the picture.
