Today, we moved into the collecting stage of writing.
Students took time to think about sensory details in their writing today. They used their five senses to list some details about a person, place, object, or another element of writing. They talked with a partner and told their partner
about what they would be describing. Using a graphic organizer, students created sensory details to enhance their writing!
It was amazing.
I was lucky enough to be in the room for part of this learning. Students were so focused and empowered to develop their writing. It felt like a much older group of students!
I felt the same way! I even told them that!!!
