slippman's Learning Journey

I loved global experience and thought it was very fun. I am sad that this is my last global experience. I thought me and  Sarina worked very well together. I thought it was really fun to learn about Hindu gods and goddess. My favorite god is Shiva the god of destruction. I love global experience and am sad that it is over.

I thought it was a great play. I also thought it was very different than the movie. One way it was different was they added a part about eating more food to get strong.  I thought that each person was very good at there part. I really like that they do a talk back at the end of each play or musicale. I really like the sound and lights and how most people got to play more than one part.

I learned that  the Taj Mahal took more than 20,000 people and 1,000 elephants to build! The Taj Mahal changes colors because of the sun. The Taj Mahal was built as a memorial for an emperor because he was sad his wife died. I am excited to learn more about India and the Taj Mahal.

I want my super power to be I can change what people are thinking. For an example I can make my parents think tackle football is good and they will let me play. I can also make them give me what ever I want when ever I want.

I learned all of my multiplication facts in math. In reading we are in our fiction unit. I am reading Diary Of a Wimpy kid.

I keep trying to have a growth mindset and not get a fixed mindset when things get tough. It helps me when Gev. Voras reminds me.

I learned a game called the ball game. I also got to to know the fourth graders more. I had fun playing basketball at RDC. It was so fun and the fourth graders are so nice.

I just finished my review test in math I hope I did it right. I like the unite we are finishing it is fun. The unite that we are finishing is measuring and fractions.

Gev. Dowling is testing all of us in reading to see if we can go up a level in reading. Gev. Dowling  is testing me now. I am going up lots of  levels. I think I am a good reader. I think reading is really fun. My favorite genre is nonfiction.

This is the North of Israel. We made a house and some mountains and some streams. We used cardboard,wood,foam,paper and sharpies. The biggest mountain in the North of Israel is called mount Hermon.

We are doing a readathon in class. A readathon is when we read for the month of May and we set a goal for how many minutes we could read as a class. The goal is 3,000. I have read 32 minutes in total. I love doing the readathon. At the end of the month we total all the minutes that we read. If we get more then 3,000 minutes all together we beat the goal and get to celebrate. If we did not get more then 3,000 minutes all together we did not beat the goal.
