Field trip Oct 8-Repairing Together

We will not need parent volunteers, but please read the following to learn about what your child will be doing that day with the other schools:
October 8, 2019

Riverside Park: 1500 E. Park Place, Milwaukee WI 53211 students arrive 9:30- departure students 11:20am
Washington Park: 1859 N. 40th St., Milwaukee WI 53208 students arrive 9:30- departure students 11:20am
Menomonee Valley: 3700 W. Pierce St, Milwaukee WI 53215 students arrive 9:30- departure students 11:20am
Participants: 3rd grade, 20 students per group rotation (40 students total per center)
9:30-09:50 Students will be welcomed by UEC staff, further divided into two smaller groups. UEC staff will conduct a team building/ice breaker activity.
9:50–10.30 One group outside with for a foraging/treasure hunt spotting native plants/animals in small teams, other group will be in a workshop
10:30-11:10 Followed by snack and switching of groups, those who were treasure hunting go to the workshop and vice versa.
11:10-11:20 Wrap-up and goodbye

Artist at Riverside Park is Ms. Azeeza Islam for a theater session.
Educator at Washington Park is Mr. Mark Denning teaching Lacrosse from a Native American perspective
Artist at Menomonee Valley is Ms. Kim Khaira for an art session on bats and nature
