Cup Holder Chalange

Today’s Challenge: Using only provided materials ( 6 straws, 1 piece of paper, a piece of tinfoil, 12 inches of masking tape, 2 paperclips, 2 pieces of string, 1 envelope, and 2 pipe cleaners)  create a structure that holds two cups as high as possible and as far apart as possible.

Teamwork Rubric Focus:

My goal for participation today while working in my group is…

Not to dicktate my group

My Individual Plan

It is to work in the hall and put them on the other side of the hall. for making the base were going to mold the cup with tin fiol on straws.

Why I think my plan will be successful:

It will be very far apart and tall and it will not fall off because it is sitting on a level platform

My Groups Plan

To put the cups on the other side of the room for distance apart and for hight we are going to balacne it on straws

We chose this plan because…

It was far apart But not too tall

Possible challenges that may come up during construction…

Tape dose not stick to the ground.

Each group member will be responsible for…

Building and dockmunting

After the Build

Our design worked well because…

It was long it and did not fall for a while

This activity was challenging because…

We had to dockumint during the chalange

This activity was comfortable because….

We did not argue about much

I met my participation goal by…

Letting others do some of the main parts

A strength of my team was….

we worked well togther well

An area of growth for my team is…

to make sure we have a set plan

For our next challenge, my new participation goal for myself is….

Not to yell at my group

  1. Hi N,

Moving forward I would love to see more detail added to your blog posts. As you document your work in class, it is helpful to be as specific as possible. This allows your teammates, me, and your readers to know exactly what your process was as you worked.

In addition, don’t forget to check for spelling, punctuation and capital letters. Edublogs even underlines misspelled words with a squiggly red line to help you- don’t just ignore the line!
