Golf Ball Challenge

Today we tried the golf ball challenge again and I didn’t want to do it again because we had already done this challenge and I got the idea of the challenge and I don’t know if that affected mt teamwork. I do have to say the teamwork was better this time because I think we had a better idea of what to do. Something we could work on was not getting mad at a teammate if they were being stubborn. Overall I think the challenge was a good challenge.

Chicken Plan

How did your research guide your plan?

It helped my plan by telling me when to use my materials and how much to use.

What information do you still need to find?

None, I am done with my plan.

What new information did you find as you planned?

That you have to change the salt a few times.

How do you think this plan will work with your group members?

I think all plans will be somewhat the same but we might have to correct a few things but all plans will be sortof the same.

How can you make sure every person’s voice is heard in the group?

We will assign roles for each person.

New Math Game

On October 11 Adon Ishak gave the class a free day for math games. Srichhimer22 and I didn’t have any game to play so we made up our own. The goal of the game is to get the whole deck. I can be played with how many people like but the more people the harder because it is more numbers to multiply.

Rules: You have to put your card down on three. NO copying. You have to put the writing utensil down when you have the answer. You have to multiply all the numbers.

What you need: One deck of cards. Writing utensil. Scrap piece of paper or whiteboard.

How to play: One person deals out the deck, each player on the count of three puts down a card, now all players race to multiply and get the answer. When you find it you have to put the pen, pencil or marker down and if you get the answer correct you get the cards.

Check out Srichhimer22’s blog about the game.

Teamwork Reflecion

Today I will show how I have grown as well as others.

Me: I have gotten better at not taking control because in the umbrella challenge I let others do stuff like building and planning.

Others: I am going to reference gr because in the umbrella challenge he wanted to do stuff and let his voice be heard.

High Holiday Reflection

1. Why did I pick my topic?

I didn’t, I gave the teachers my top 5 and they assigned me to one with a partner.
2. What was a main idea that I learned that I did not know before?

I did not know about the fish head is a symbol of Rosh Hashanah. The fish head symbolizes a blessing may we be heads, not tails.
3. What did I find interesting and enjoy doing my project?

I found finding new facts interesting and fun. One thing I learned is dates in Hebrew means to get rid of our foes.
4. How did doing my project enhance or influence my high holiday experience?

I can now find connections during the holidays.
