Programming Hanukkah Cards

  1. Describe what you were supposed to do. We were to first supposed  to take A Hanukkah card and put in a doc what was programmed for each sprite and then we got to make our own.
  2. Describe your experience as a Scratch programmer. Is it something you are expert in or a novice? I only new how to make a new sprite and how to get  backdrop but nothing else.
  3. Reflect on what was easy and what was challenging
  4. What did you learn in a process? I learned how to program each sprite and make them move and change colors.
  5. Provide a link to your card   https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/272693869/
  6. Add instructions on how to use your card. Assume that the user have never used Scratch before. For example, sometimes you need to click on something for an affect to take place. You just click the green flag and it will start to move and change colors.

Building Reflection

What about the building process was challenging? something that was challenging for me was making sure every member on my team was doing something that is part of the build and making sure that everybody feels like they involved in the challenge.

How did your build differ from your plan? (If your build was different than your plan, update your plan!) our plan was different from our plan because we added a tip line and out tree was just a extra thing.

How did your group work well together during the build? What would you do again? We did well by making sure everybody had a part and was working together.

How did your group struggle during the build? What would you change? Making sure that we filled out our packets as we went through the building process.

Dissection Reflection

  • What is the value of dissecting? I think the value of dissecting is to really make sure your getting into detail and look at all the different parts of the fish. Also dissecting makes you think about different things for example looking at the mouth of the sea lamprey  I released how much it is a predator because of its sharp and strong teeth.

  • How did the dissection help you understand what is happening between the sea lamprey and the trout? I helped me because it  showed me about the mouth of the sea lamprey is a predator to the trout because of its teeth.
  • How did you feel about dissection? If you enjoyed the process, why did you enjoy it? If you did not enjoy it, what was difficult about it? I didn’t enjoy it because I’m not the type of girl who likes science and dissecting I like fashion so I grossed me out because of the insides of the fish and just seeing the inside.

Rapunzel Planning Reflection

How did spending more time on planning improve your final blueprint? I helped because we were able to get more ideas and solutions. Also make sure everybody’s voice was heard.

How did your group come to one final plan after brainstorming several ideas? We combined all our Ideas together. Also went over each of our ideas and came up with our idea.

Why do you think taking more time to plan was important? I gave us more time to think about the challenge. Also brainstorm more ideas and dive into detail for the ideas.

Did brainstorming with multiple people help you come up with more ideas? How? Yes because it made me think about more ideas. Also spreed my ideas to my group mates.

What would you differently during the planning process next time? I would make sure everybody is hearing because sometimes we cut each other of in the middle of someone talking.
