Blogging Challenge Eight-Reflection

How many weeks of the challenge did you participate in?

I participated in all eight weeks. On the fourth week I got a shoutout on the master blog page.

How many comments did you receive from classmates, teachers, or other visitors?

I have recieved nine comments(so far).

Which post did you enjoy writing the most and why?

I enjoyed writing the music post the most. I think this is because I connected with this topic the most out of all topics. This is because I love music, therefore, I was more motivated to do a post on it.

Which web tools did you use to show creativity on your blog?

I feel that I didnt really use any web tools to show creativity on my blog. Maybe a goal for myself(if I ever do this challenge again) is to use web tools to show creativity.

What did you learn about yourself during this challenge?

I learned that I am good at responding in a timely manner to other’s comments on my blog posts. I also learned that I like to look at other’s blog posts which helps gives myself ideas on what to post about. Lastly, I learned that I like connecting with others from around the world.

  1. Don’t forget to mention you got a shout out on the master blog page (that everyone in the challenge sees) for your week 4 blog post!

It is okay to tell people you are good at something!

  2. Hi Sadie,
Congratulations on making it to the end of the blogging challenge and being an active participant. The fact that you worked hard to respond to comments shows that you understand that blogging encourages conversation and exchanging viewpoints. I hope you continue to write posts even though the challenge has ended.

I looked back at your week 7 post about holidays and I think you did a great job explaining important celebrations in your faith. I teach in an independent school not affiliated with one religion but we recognize and respect all the holidays and solemn days of other faiths. If you want to work more on use of “web tools” I might suggest that next time you post images perhaps consider providing an attribution link to the images you use. That is something I keep reminding my students to do unless of course they have taken the photos themselves.
Best of luck to you in the remainder of the school year and thanks for sharing your ideas in the challenge!

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Ruffing

    • Thank you for the very nice comment and compliments. That is cool that you teach at a school that teaches multiple different religions! What subject(s) do you teach? I also appreciate the feedback and will try to apply it to my work in the future.
