YES!!!!!

So far on my reading goal I have been writing a lot of characters feeling’s and I’m very happy with myself! I think my goal was hard and easy, like in the middle. I think that I am done with this goal.  I can start a new goal and make it a bit more challenging. I have been continuing reading Dork Diaries, Tales Of A Not- So Graceful Ice Skatter. For example,  In a picture Nikkie is on cruches and has a cast! I think I know what Nikkie is feeling nervous. I know this because, on the next page, Nikkie was pretending all along. Makkenzie can skate with her friends so they can win the prize . Nikkie was messing up her friends by accident, she isn’t great at skating, and they really badly wanted the prize.  As a result, I think that I could do this goal and be able to start a new goal. Also, I have some pictures that shows my writing and evidence of my thinking while reading!

My new goal is going to be working on reading different types of books or a new series of books.

Rainnbow Day Camp Team Building

On Oct.18 2018, the third and fourth graders went on a field trip to Rainow Day Camp. What I learned was teambuilding. For example, if there are people in a group you can’t yell at each other or fight. You have to work together or else, you might not win or people will start getting upset and don’t want to work with you. For one of the teambuilding games we had to complete 4 puzzles. The people in my group were realy compettitive and I hate when people go  over board with being competitive. So what I did was just watch other people play and said to calm down.

A good idea I had was, for the balloon tower activety. I thought we could start with a balloon circle and the just keep going up, but it kind of failed. We messed up and when we wanted to get the tape of the balloon it would pop. But that activity was still fun!  It was fun because we were having a good time and we were not so competeive.  My group listened to each other’s ideas.

When we played lazer tag, I knew I would try to dodge the hits from the other player. I would have to hide behind the boards and try to hit people from close or far away. One of the new ideas I had that day was for the lazer tag. It was my first time playing and I just thought me and other people could team up and try to get another player that was trying to get us. We would sneak up on them! Even though I dide all the time it was still fun!  It was fun because people were supporitve, positive attitude and helpful.  I think we had a great time at Rainbow Day Camp and I would like to go again!

My Math Progect

My math project is the playgroud group. What Me, Eweisshaus23, and Zamesserman23 are trying to make a mini model of a porch swing. We did change it once, we were trying to see if we could make a skateboard swing for the school but we would have to give reasons why we should have it. If other people didn’t like it the school might not build it. But we decided that we should just make a miniture version of a porch swing. How we divided  the work is, I would write all of the questions and see what mateirials we need.  Zach and Erez would look up pictures to hep us build the model. To build our miniture model, we are going to use the 3D printer.

My Goal For Reader’s Workshop

I want to stop and jot more about how the characters feel.

How I will be able to know when I have reached my goal? I will be able to flip through my reader’s binder and see what I have written about the characters feelings.  I will see how much the character’s feelings change throughout the book.

I know what I need to reach my goal. How I can reach my goal is I can look at the words or pictures in the book and be able to tell or predict what the characters are feeling. I think the goal is reachable because the books that I read are usually  diaries. Sometimes there is a little more drama in diaries. for example, In Dork Diaries, Tales From A Not So Talented Popstar, Nikkie (the main character)  has a worst enemy. Her name is Makkenzie Hollster, she has been ruining Nikkie’s time at her middle school. Makkenzie has been embarressing Nikkie in front of the whole school. My deadline for this goal is a week and a half.  By then, I should have enough character’s feeling’s in my reader’s binder.
