Are there any additional materials your group needs to gather?

Conflict in Fiction Tutorial

Think about a book you’re reading now or one you’ve read recently. What type of conflict occurred in the story? Describe it using specific details from the text.

Character vs. Character because David needs to fight the leader that he admired for so long, he studied him and fought with him.

How did it move the rest of the story along?

It was the thing carrying the reckoners along to Ilditheia(or Atlanta)

Was the conflict resolved? How? If not, how do you think it will be resolved?

Not yet. I think they will fight the leader then kill calamity.

Boat Challenge Day 2

First, we took the carton of a pint of milk. Second, we put the hole in the carton on its side. Third, we marked holes on its sides for the chopsticks. Then, we put a rubber band on the boat. Lastly, we put the paddle in and let it go! We tried three times 2 were successes and 1 fail. I thought we would fail more.

Boat Day 1 Review

I accomplished the planing and review  today: ; I was able to accomplish this because I was on task.

I wanted to accomplish building the boat today, but I wasn’t able to because we had to plan first.

My goal and materials needed for the next work session are  pint size milk carton.

Boat Challenge Day 1

We are making boats! Me and my partner(eshamah21) are making a rubber band boat. We have more than one option, the first one is the secret potion boat(chemical), balloon boat(elastic), and the rubber band boat(elastic). We will need a basin, a half pint milk carton, a pair of chopsticks, scissors, tape, rubber bands, and paper towels.

DON’T FORGET TO INCLUDE PICTURES. YOU SHOULD INCLUDE PICTURES FOR EACH STEP TODAY!

VOICE LEVEL TODAY 2-3

  1. Clean chicken- all powder must be removed from inside and outside of the chicken.
    1. What does your chicken look like?  The chicken is dry and looks smaller and yellowish.
    2. What are the most significant changes since day 1?

The chicken is dry and kind of yellow and looks sharp.

    1. Do you think the changes are realistic to the changes you would see in an actual mummy? Why or why not? I don’t really know because I’ve never seen a real mummy but I think the chicken looks how it’s supposed to.

  1. GET CHECKED, have you been taking pictures?

  1. Gather and prepare supplies for stuffing and wrapping your chicken (1 metal tin for mixing glue, 1 metal tin to keep your chicken in)
    1. What supplies did you gather today? We used the metal tin, about 4 cups of glue, 1 cup of water and then during ETC we used about a half cup of water to get the consistency back.
    2. What measurements did you use for your gauze? 11 inches
    3. How are you making sure each group member is included today?  We each got a different job: ygaines21 was wrapping the chicken, aodesky21 was cutting gauze, and last but not least smishelow21 was dipping the gauze in the glue and hliberman21 was absent.

  1. GET CHECKED, have you been taking pictures?

  1. Wrap your chicken
    1. How many piece of gauze did you need? We needed 4 rolls of gauze, but I don’t really know how many pieces we used, I’d guess about 15 pieces, but it could have been more or less.
    2. How much glue did you use? How much water did you add?  We used about 4 cups of glue, and 1 ½ cups of water
    3. Did you put anything into your chicken? If so, what and how much? We put in 1 cup of sawdust.
  2. GET CHECKED, have you been taking pictures? Yes.

  1. Clean up all materials, store your chicken, wipe your table

  1. GET CHECKED, did you take pictures? Yes, but since hliberman21 wasn’t here, we couldn’t take many because we were already doing jobs, and smishelow21 and aodesky21’s hands were full of glue and ygaines21 was touching the chicken. Do you think you included enough detail in your responses above? Yes. Is there anything else you think is important to add from today? If so, write it below.

The scissors were kind of bad so some of the gauze was uneven.
