Sukkah Purchasing-Day 4

1. Describe a situation when you collaborated well with your group yesterday.

I collaborated well with my group when we realized we messed up our budget and measurments, we worked together to create a solution. At first we all felt very overwhelmed, but as we worked together, we created a solution and all felt better about the situation.

2. Describe a time when you did not collaborate well with your group yesterday.

I did not collaborate well with my group when we were moving our cart full of wood. I say this because I wasnt giving my team good directions of how/where to move the cart to, to help them be successful. I felt bad for my team and for others in the store because I was making them have an inconvenience.

3. For your specific example of your struggle, how would you change your behavior/actions next time to do better?

Next time, I will ask the teacher for help, so he/she can guide me so everyone is more productive and happy. I can also ask other people their opinions and how they do something, to get different view points.

4. Explain how well you planned and how you executed that plan.

I feel that I wasnt apart of the planning process as much as I could/should have been. I say this because I was busy making decorations, while others were budgeting and planning what we would get. I feel that we should have asked the teacher to help us more so we didnt run into the problem we did in the store and so that everyone could be more involved in the planning process.

Sukkah Project-Day 3

1. On Friday, we worked on our organization of our purchasing plan. We are organized with our purchasing because we have found the best prices, yet the materials are still usable. This way we dont go out of our budget, and we still get the job done.
2. My level of organization has helped our Sukkah project so far. An example of this is, every day I remember my folder. This folder holds our files together, so we know what to look at while working.

These are photos of our budget and measurments. The first photo is measurments and the second one is budget.

Sukkah Project-Day 2

Yesterday, we worked on our Sukkah project by emptying out milk cartons and budgeting. My part in the process was emptying out milk cartons. This is useful because the milk cartons are apart of our decorations for the Sukkah. One thing I learned because of this Sukkah project was dont give up. I say this because there were so many milk cartons, but only two people. I was about to give up, when my partner said “were almost done” and that gave me inspiration to keep on going!

Sukkah Project-Day 1

1. Yesterday, we started our Sukkah project by reviewing what makes a Sukkah Kosher. Then with our groups, we looked for wood, for our walls that were within our budget. My part in the process was doing all the calculations so we could see how much we were spending.
2. I am excited about building one of the walls for our Sukkah because I have never built a wall before and I like to try and explore new things.
3. I am a bit worried/not looking forward to building one of the walls for our Sukkkah because I have never done something like that before and its always scary to try new things.
4. My biggest challenge yesterday was staying on task because everyone in my group likes to talk a lot(which isnt a bad thing) we just have to make sure to have a balance between work and talking.
5. Today, I will overcome my challenges by having a mixture of talking and working so we can have fun, yet still be productive.
