Why are Midterm Elections Important?

What do Midterm Elections decide in the government?

Which side the government will shift. For example if more democrats are elected than the government will even out (because the government is more republican than democratic), but if more republicans are elected than the government will be mostly republicans.

How are citizens impacted by Midterm Elections?

Before the midterm elections Scott Walker was the governor. Now Scott Walker’s place in the government is up for election. Meaning Scott Walker may not be governor after the midterm elections.

What can citizens do to get people they want elected?

They can help advertise for the person they want to be elected. They can vote the person they want to give them better odds of winning. They could give money to the persons campaign manager to help with ads and commercials.

Why do Midterm Elections exist?

The midterm elections exist to try to balance the government so one side does not dictate the whole government. I think that is good so there can be change in the middle of the presidents term so the president has more challenges or less challenges.

Why is it important for different groups of people to run for government positions?

It is important so the government can get different beliefs so people can get more rights (in some peoples opinion).

Sincerely,
