Shana Tova! Happy new year to all the families of MJDS!

In Hebrew classes this week, we have learned the Hebrew greetings for Rosh Hashanah. All the students made personal greeting cards in Hebrew and wished themselves, the community and the world so many wonderful things. May their wishes come true!

In Jewish Studies class, the 3rd graders explored further the concept of “the birthday of the world” by learning the prayer of the high holidays “Hayom Harat Olam”. We have learned about different approaches to stand in prayer before God, that are expressed in the prayer. We have also added the “Avinu Malkenu” prayer into our Tfila on Wednesday morning.
