I think my conference went really well because now I’m going to do a lot of new things like I’m going to tell my mom and dad about my grow book instead of just reading it and I’m not going to chose that many graphic novels because I read too many of them. I like being in charge of my conference because sometimes my teacher might not say everything I want her to say so that’s why I like running my conference.

Yesterday I went on a field trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum and we went on a walking field trip. At MPM we went to Solomon Juneau’s trading post and when we went on the walking field trip we saw what his trading post looks like now and it has changed a lot because back then you had to take a boat to get to his trading post and now you can drive there. When we went to Milwaukee River we saw Gertie the Duck and other ducks. At MPM it was funny seeing a person making machines at a Machine store because now we have robots to do that stuff but I saw blueprints and they still use those now.

Today we checked our math tests and I thought the bar graph and pictograph went well for me but the line plot also felt good for me. I think the test was pretty easy for me. I didn’t get confused by anything on the test. I think I focused hard when we corrected the test because if I got it wrong I wanted  to see if I got something wrong because if I did get something wrong I would ask how I got it wrong. I loved Unit 4!

I think I’m doing well at Math because I understand it really well and it is my favorite unit which is time. I enjoy doing writing because I always like to get faster at typing but I also love freckle. I think I am doing well with my one word goal because I try helping whenever  I can because it is a mitzvah. I love school!

I loved Matilda the Musical even though it was my second time seeing it. This time we saw it with Taylor Arnstein but the same cast as when we saw it together the diligent cast. Like before the dad was really funny and this time when he sang telly at the end of the song he flossed and it was really funny.  Matilda was my favorite play I have ever seen at First Stage.

My family is from a lot of places like in my dad’s family one side is from Lithuania and the other side is from Russia and Poland because they switched a lot and by a lot I mean a lot. Now on the other hand my Mom’s side is from Poland and Hungary. Everyone in my family except my great Grandpa on my mom’s side went through Ellis Island. My grandpa on my mom’s side got a ticket and got checked in on the boat.  He didn’t have to go through the island.  What is similar to the people who immigrated  to Milwaukee was most of them went on a boat and everyone in my family went on a boat also.

I think I’m doing good with my one word goal at school and at home but more at home than school. So that means I need be more helpful at school. I want to help my teacher clean up at the end of the day more than I do. I’m doing the best at math because Multiplication and Division is FUN!!!!!!!!!

I think the thing that is most challenging this year is doing book buddies because it is my first year doing it. But otherwise I am doing good in school.

For my one word goal I chose helpful because I want to be more helpful. Sometimes I feel like I just get in the way and you guys do all the hard work and I just lay around so I want to now help out instead of just laying around and I want you to be the people laying around sometimes. And when Nora is old enough she will probably help to. And at school I want to help Gev. Voras clean the room and do stuff like that but just in general I want to be more helpful because it is a good thing to be.

For our Math unit right now we are getting two numbers for example: 147 and 963. You would have to add them up vertically and find what you might think is the answer but then you have to do a proof drawing to make sure your answer is actually correct but if it is wrong you change the answer.

What book did I read?                                                          I read New year Dragon Dilemma!                                  Overall did you enjoy your book club book? Why or why not? I enjoyed my book club book because it was so good and I wished I never had to stop reading.   It was good because my book was a mystery book.                                                                             How did your book club project go? I think my project went well because everyone else said they loved it.    At first we thought we wouldn’t finish.  We all worked hard together to make sure it was done.                                                                                  What could you do differently next time? I think next time my group could practice more.
