7th One Pager Summer Reading Assessment

  • Explain three choices you made on your one-pager which show your comprehension of the book or what you learned from the book.
  1. I showed my comprehension of the book by using specific images from the book as the backgrounds for all of my main points. Some examples are the Warcross lenses, as well as a computer.
  2. I showed my comprehension by identifying the main theme of Wildcard and being able to put it into words in a way that makes sense.
  3. I showed my comprehension by identifying how the main characters in Wildcard grow and learn from the beginning of the story to the end.
  • Explain how you used color on your one-pager. I used color to give the book sort of a dark theme. In the first Warcross book, “Warcross”, it’s much more cheery. In the 2nd book, it gets very real and I wanted to show that in my one-pager.
  • Explain two pieces of textual evidence and why you chose that text for your one-pager.
  1. My “Maybe” quote is all about how Emika doesn’t feel like a hero even though she did a heroic thing because destroying the neuro-link was so much easier than creating it. I picked this quote because it really emphasizes how it’s always so easy to destroy something someone else created but a lot harder to create it yourself.
  2. My “Every” quote talks about how life is full of problems another one will come as soon as you solve one. You just have to keep going until the world is a better place. I chose this quote because it really translates to real life and a lot of people could learn from this.
  • Which learning goal did you do your best work on? Which one do you find challenging? I was able to follow directions pretty easily because I listened to instructions and looked at the GC assignment. I struggled with noting key ideas because it had been a while since I read the book and I didn’t remember all the details.
