What materials did you choose for your build and why?
We chose cardboard for the tower and the pulley, wood for the pulley and the weight for Rapunzel, Foam as the base, and hot glue to hold everything together.
Here is a picture of my plan:
Here is a picture of my first attempt at the building process:
While you test:
What are you noticing?
The string is sometimes getting caught on the side of the pulley.
What things are working?
The pully is working fine and the tower is staying up.
What things are not working?
The string sometimes gets caught in the side of the pulley.
How will you tweak this? Make this better? (Be specific and detailed!)
We may add a parachute to slow her down, and we will put a smaller gap in between the pully and the side of the pulley.
Do you need any new materials? If so, WHY?
yes, we need either wax paper or a bag of very thin plastic.
Sketch your new design with labels on a piece of paper. Make sure your drawing is detailed and specifically labeled.

Why will this new design work better than your first attempt? What is your evidence?
Yes, I think so because the parachute will help slow Repunzul down, and closing the gap in between the wood and cardboard in the pulley will stop the rope from falling off.
