During our launch unit of reader’s workshop, students are learning and practicing a variety of skills.  By the end of the unit students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the following skills.

• Describe a character’s traits and use evidence to support my thinking
• Make inferences when reading
• Summarize a variety of texts.
• Make different types of connections to what I am reading.

Students will continue to practice these skills throughout other units and learn new ones!
