How does your prototype protect the egg?

Our prototype has dowel sticks that will take the hit for the egg as well as cushioning that will keep the egg inside.

Describe your design process, in detail.

First we both came up with a bunch of ideas. In all of the ideas there was a pyramid made out of straws for the egg, so we included that in our design. Eventually we decided to improve on a design we saw in a video we both watched where there were straws to take the hit for the egg. Eventually we used dowel sticks instead of straws and added cushioning.

What worked well in your design?

Everything did what it was suppose to do. The wood took the hit for the egg, and the cushioning cushioned.

What was challenging throughout this process? What would you do differently?

My group member and I would constantly disagreed about stuff, and the egg ended up falling out. Next time I would try to listen to my group more and to put tape on all of the sides.
