Today’s Challenge: Using only provided materials ( 6 straws, 1 piece of paper, a piece of tinfoil, 12 inches of masking tape, 2 paperclips, 2 pieces of string, 1 envelope, and 2 pipe cleaners)  create a structure that holds two cups as high as possible and as far apart as possible.

My goal for participation today while working in my group is to not take over and to not be completely silent either.

Why I think my plan will be successful: It is similar to a plan I’ve used for similar challenges and had worked.

We chose this plan because we all agreed.

 

Possible challenges that may come up during construction is it may be unstable.

 

Each group member will be responsible for building one tower (one person will be helping the other)

 

After the Build

 

Our design worked well because the cups were very far apart.

 

This activity was challenging because some of our group wasn’t listening to the rest. Also, we didn’t have enough time.

 

This activity was comfortable because we had planned well.

 

I met my participation goal by  not taking over but not being silent.

 

A strength of my team was we all had good ideas.

 

An area of growth for my team is to listen to eachother more.

 

For our next challenge, my new participation goal for myself is the same thing as this time.
