What went well today?
We finished quickly. It turned out well.
What was challenging?One person was telling us to put a sertain part in an unstable way.
Was there anything you would do differently if given this task again?
to not be made to use the group roles. Everyone should be doing all of them. There was no need to even use any of them.
How did group roles help your team?
They didn’t. Unless you count not using them helping. The recorder takes notes that no one even reads. The chat captian just keeps the conversation on task. Any one could do that! And just because only one person is doing it doesn’t make it any more helpful! The time keeper keeps track of the time we have left. So they look at the timer insted of helping? The materials manager keeps track of the stuff being used and keeps it organized. I’ll admit, that one could be helpful, but everyone should be doing that!
After this experience, are there any changes you would make to group roles? Not being made to use them.
Wow Shira I am very impressed by your evidence or examples you gave to back up your claim. I think it would be interesting to see if you did the same group work activity without the roles if you would feel the same or have the same results.
