They used their slaves to do work. For example, some owners used them to farm. The reason they did this because it was considered “cool” to have slaves.

A lot of slaves harvested tobacco and cotton because those were very popular crops in the south back then. Also most slaves were in the south.

Where were most slaves from? Why?

Most of the slaves were from  Africa because the africans did not have a lot of things to defend themself with. Also England split up Africa so there was a lot of trading slaves for money and other valuable objects.

Why did so many slaves move to the colonies? Was this their choice? Explain.

The slaves moved here because their owners forced them to move here. And no, it was not their choice.

Why were there so many slaves in the colonies?

As I said before a lot of owners from England brought their slaves.
