Math Unit 2 – Standards

Our second math unit is ‘Addition and Subtraction Strategies’. Here are the kid friendly standards that this unit will address:
- I can use different strategies for addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems.
- I can use fact families to help me solve addition problems.
- I can understand how counting up is like adding and counting down is like subtracting.
- I can add and subtract facts within 20.
- I can tell if addition or subtraction number sentences are true because I understand what an equal sign means.
