Interview at Sarah Chudnow!!!!!!

What were 2-3 interesting things you learned from your buddy at Ovation Sarah Chudnow?

I think that it is cool that she (the woman I talked to) was a social worker when she was younger. She also went to business college. I bet it was hard because women were not allowed to do as many things as they are allowed to do now.

What did you enjoy about your conversation?

I enjoyed that she liked talking to me and that she wanted to talk about her life

What was hard about your conversation?

I think that nothing about our conversation was hard because she could hear me and I could understand her perfectly fine.

What would you do differently if we went back again?

I would have her ask me more questions about me.

If you had a chance to ask additional questions, what are two more questions you would ask your person, based on what you learned about them?

I did ask many additional questions and one was what is your favorite food. She answered chocolate (yum!).

What did you learn about Jewish Milwaukee or general Milwaukee history from your conversation?

I learned that there were not as may malls or people. Cars had just barely started to be a thing. she leaned to drive when she was 60! I learned that things are quite different now.

  1. Talking with you about this was a highlight of my weekend. I am so proud of your empathy and wonder and hope you take advantage of more opportunities to connect with this generation of people.

  2. I agree with Adon Papa. It is clear that this experience was meaningful to you and that you have made a new friend! I nagged Nana again today about moving here 😉

  3. I loved seeing your glow while talking to her–and hers while talking to you! You appeared to be so comfortable talking to a complete stranger and fascinated by her life. Your experience is one reason we do these visits!
