Football is going Strong

All the upper school PE classes are fully engaged in our football unit.  I have been very pleased with the level of effort and participation I have seen from all the children so far.  Please feel free to ask your child a question about football as they are learning the positions and terms that are part of the game.  Below are some pictures of the children scrimmaging against each other, using the skills we worked on in drills in an actual game.

  1. I thought that football was really boring, and didn’t make sense. I thought that because I didn’t understand anything when I watched it before the unit started. I tried to make sense out of it, but I couldn’t.

Now, after the unit, I feel much better about football. I know how to play it, and it actually makes sense. It isn’t that boring anymore!

  2. 1. I didn’t like football because it was hard and I don’t really like sports and didn’t know how to play.
