Slavery Primary Sources

How did the experiences of slaves first hand compared to what we have read about in the past?

It compared by the emotion that was put into the story and like the details of what was happening was so much more in detail then it would be in second-hand writing and how the masters treated them was emotional.

Were our secondary sources accurate to the slave experience? Explain.

Our secondary sources were not accurate because the secondary source was not there and didn’t go through the pain and suffering of being a slave so they can’t tell the story like the slaves can.

What was one new thing you learned from reading these stories?

One new thing I learned was how horribly the slaves were treated other than how the secondary sources were saying.
