Hebrew Class 5/6

Today in Hebrew class we learned all about how Americans and Israelis view their Memorial Days differently. Americans get off of school and have BBQs. Israelis go to ceremonies and remember those who died fighting for Israel.

When to use את

In Hebrew, you are only supposed to use את when the following word is definite.

For example,

“I saw a dog” would not use את because “a dog” is indefinite.

“I saw the dog” would use את because “the dog” is definite.
