Today’s Challenge: Create a new kind of cereal and its box. Using a piece of poster board, you and your team need to create your own box, with the goal of having the largest possible volume.
Teamwork Rubric Focus (Participation):
My goal for participation today within my team is to make sure that I don’t just sit back and let other people do the work for me. I want to actually participate and contribute to my group.
My Individual Plan
My plan is to draw the front and back first. This will be hard because it will be challenging to know before where the front and back will be but it’s hard to draw on an already folded box.
Why I think my plan will be successful: it will make it so we can draw on a flat paper and we don’t have to do anything after folding.
Our Group’s Plan
To make some ninja puffs. We’re gonna draw our folding lines, draw the ninja puffs box inside the lines, then fold it up and voila.
We chose this plan because it combined all 3 of our plans.
Possible challenges that may come up during construction are the box not being sturdy enough.
Each team member will be responsible for drawing, folding, and taping.
After the Build
Our design worked well because nothing went wrong and it looks really good.
This activity was challenging because it was hard to find a good slogan for our company.
This activity was comfortable because I was working with some of the best artists in our class.
I met my teamwork participation goal by finding a good slogan for our brand.
A strength of my team was making good artwork.
An area of growth for my team is filling up the box with more color.
For our next challenge, my new teamwork participation goal for myself is getting everyone to participate and not just me.
