Capstone Interview

1. Who did you interview?

I interviewed my dad.

2. What is one new thing you learned from this process?

One of the new things that I learned is where some of my family is from. For example, I did not know I had family from Latvia and Lithuania. I also did not know that I have family currently living in Israel.

3. Is there anything that surprised you about your interview?

I was surprised of the variety of countries I have family from. I already knew I had family from Russia, Poland, Mexico, and Germany. I did not know I had family from Israel, Latvia, and Lithuania.

4.Did your interview(s) change you in any way? How so?

My interview didn’t really change me. I learned new information that was very interesting, but I didn’t really change me.

  1. That is really cool to find out you have family around the world you did not know about.

    Is there any reason why this family was not mentioned/talked about before?

    Are you planning on connecting with/getting in touch with any of those people? That would be really interesting to follow up on.

    • This family has never been mentioned before because it was only recently that my Dad learned about this family.

  2. Does knowing that you have family all around the world make you think differently about the United States? About traveling? Do you want to try to reach out to any of them to see what they are like? I wonder if you can meet your family in Israel when we go?

    • Knowing about my family from over countries doesn’t really change my point of view on the United States. However, it does make me want to travel to those countries more.

  3. Does knowing you have family from Israel make it more exciting to you that you get to visit Israel in a few months?
