My one word goal is focus. The reason  I picked focus was because for me it is hard to always keep my eye on the person that  is talking.I look at who ever is talking but I get curious and start looking around at anything in the classroom. I am still working on it from the beginning of the year but I have gotten better at focusing.

In social studies  we are learning about Brazil with  the first graders. A few days ago we all had a packet  and we all got a first grade partner all of us second graders got our chrome books  to look up what  the packet said.yesterday we got to look at virtual reality of Brazil. The capital of Brazil is Brasilia. some foods Brazilians like are quindim and  black-. eyed pea. It is almost always hot in Brazil and in tropical weather it is almost always rainy.I love learning about Brazil!

In social studies we are learning about different countries  with first grade.Right now we are learning about Brazil. We made suitcases out of pizza boxes we  put a word map and our passports in our suitcases. I like doing it.

In math we are learning about shapes and measurement.Yesterday we learned how to label shapes.We also measured shapes. It is fun learning about shapes.

In my reading group we are reading a book called Tornado.In the book there is a tornado and during  the tornado Pete tells a story  about his dog that was in a tornado and ended up in Pete`s yard. Pete named the dog Tornado.Pete tells a lot of stories about Tornado. I really like the book.

One of the lessons of the story of Chanukah  is  never underestimate a smaller group of people.in this story the Greeks were a bigger group of people than the Jews the Greeks had a lot of wepons and the Jews did not

I wonder how long ago did the miracle take place?

I wonder  why it was normal to be married to your cusson  a long time ago?

I am thankful for my friends and family and I am thankful for food and water. We had a Thanksgiving play My part in the Thanksgiving play was the narrator.In 1620 the pilgrims came to America on the mayflower. it took 66  days to get to America they met  the native Americans. They had a feast with the native American.  the feast lasted for three days. It was so fun to do the Thanksgiving play!   

I wonder when did the oldest son find out that it was not yacove’s fault that yacove got the blessing?

We acted out scenes from Ruby Bridges with the second graders from Guadalupe and Indian  Community school.We worked in groups I played a person who did not like Ruby Bridges  and played another kid who did not get to go to the school Ruby went to. We learned that Ruby Bridges was brave scared and hopeful.
