Today we went to the Audubon to learn about maple sugaring. We learned the legendĀ of how sugaring started. We went outside to the sugar shack to see maple sap being cooked in to maple syrup. We ate pancakes with syrup at the end. We learned about spiles and made spile necklaces. Also we learned that maple trees have branches that look like arms and most trees do not. We did a test that had a corn syrup and maple syrup and we had to guess right.
