If I was in 1963:

In class today we did a role playing activity about the march on Washington. I am a white parent living and raising my children in New York City. At my office I know African American who work in my building as janitors and elevator operators, but all the higher paid jobs are done by whites.

I am not going on the march because if I go on the march and everybody gets the same higher paid jobs, then maybe I will loose my job to a African American. I will not support them any other way because maybe if they can go on the seats on a bus then they will take up all the seats. If they can vote then if they vote for the person I do not want to be president then I will be mad.
