Today we went to the Audubon.It was so fun we got to taste maple sap.We also watched a video abut maple farming.At the end we had pancakes and syrup.We had a scavenger hunt and on the way we got to see how maple sap got boild in to maple syrup.We also got to see how the hoter the fire, the more the sap rises.We made cool nekleses. And we also got to try pickles in syrup it tasted good.I really really liked this field trip and i want to do it again.And also mom and dad please take me there again its fun.
Benjamin – I am so glad to hear that you had a terrific field trip! It sounds like it was so much fun and you learned a lot. I definitely want to go with you another time so I can see all of the cool things there.
Maybe we should try pickles with maple syrup at home?

I really, really enjoyed going with you on this very fun field trip.
I definitely think we need to spend more time at the Audubon Center.
I really learned a lot I didn’t know about maple syrup and how it is made.
It sure is a lot of work, but it’s definitely worth it when you get to pour the sweet stuff on pancakes or pickles!
