Programming Hanukkah Cards

A couple weeks ago we did a Hanukkah project where we were supposed to take notes on a Scratch and then make our own Hanukkah card.

It was kind of hard because I do not use Scratch a lot and definitely WOULD NOT call myself an expert. I also won’t call myself a novice because I’m not new to Scratch, I’m just not very good at coding or drawing characters. We also had the option to go to the computer lab, which I did because the computers in there are bigger than our Chromebooks and there were mouses in there that would make it easier to draw a character if we wanted to. I didn’t really learn anything WHILE coding but after I learned that to make sure the costumes reset, you just have to make sure to put a “change costume to costume ___” block right under the “When green flag pressed” block so that the costumes reset each time you play the scratch.

If you do not know how to play my scratch, it’s really easy! All you need to do is press the green flag in the upper left corner by the screen that shows the characters. Then the scratch will play. To play it again just press the green flag again!
