1)first we took out and off all the powder.

2)we started making the salt and baking soda mixture with one pound of each and went from there until we thought it was enough mixture and added some cinnamon but that is optional .

3)We spread the mix EVERYWHERE on the chicken.

4) sit it out to dry and dehydrate

Remember if you do this project mix the two powders before putting it on the chicken

Sight:Orange,Yellow,And Red

Touch: It feels  hard on the body and wings and softer on the legs and butt.

Smell:It smells SPOILED

How much change do you think will occur over break?

It will get a lot more  red -yellow and orange.   

• Get Supplies from the front of the room

• Then put down newspaper and get on gloves and masks

• After that get the chicken

• Wipe off all of the powder inside and out

• Make the new mixture with salt,baking soda

• Make sure all of the clumps are out of the mixtureG

• Transfer the chicken into a different pan and put the old mixture into a different pan

• Rinse the other pan that had all the powder in it

• Then put the mixture on top of the chicken and make sure it’s almost like a mountain on top of the chicken.

• Also make sure that you fill the chicken inside and out with the mixture .

Sight:Crusty and it looked  like leather.

Touch:It’s hard And you can feel that inside of the chicken that it is Getting hard and the you can feel the bones way more than you could at the beginning

Smell: like rotting cinnamon

How do you think the chicken will change between now and Thursday?

I think the chicken will get harder and get redder.

First we put newspaper on the table in  a thick coat

Then we got gloves and a face  mask

We got the chicken and put it on the chicken

Then we felt  and smelt and looked at the chicken

Then we made are baking powder salt mixture[you need to add cinnamon]

Then we put the chicken in the other pan and dumped the original pan in the garbage

We used a spoon to scrape the mixture from inside the chicken but then I stuck me hand in the chicken to make it go faster

Then we poured the mixture onto the chicken

Then we stuffed the mixture in and around the chicken

You need a lot of the mixture[try to make the mixture 2 to 3 times]

Do not forget to add cinnamon in the chicken

Then you are done

And then you can leave your chicken to rest for 2 days

How do you think the chicken will change between now and Monday?  The chicken will probably get redder and feel drier

• First we put on face masks and gloves and goggles to get ready to touch the chicken.

• We started by taking out the chicken from the wrapping that it came in and putting it in the tin

• Ethan took out the intestines and through them away

• We used a whole bottle of rubbing alcohol on the chicken and massaged it for a while. While we did this the chicken expanded and we changed the pans when the pan had some  orange “watery” substance (rubbing alcohol mixed with dead chicken juice).

• We put rosemary on the chicken

• We put about 2-3 pounds of salt and baking powder each that were mixed together on the chicken

• We put out the chicken to sit  so the salt could start to dry out the chicken and do not forget to change the salt and baking soda mixture two times every week for 40 days.

Touch: When started (just out of the wrapping): slick and slippery. After and while using rubbing alcohol: even more slick and slippery.

How did group roles support and/or challenge your group?

They really didn’t expect for photo person (Syudkovitch20) considering that Ethan didn’t do his  job and we just didn’t really need the Materials Manager/Clean Captain or the Chat Captain/ Timekeeper/Reflector
