slippman's Learning Journey

This is the foil groups Eiffel tower.

We made Eiffel towers in collaboration. There were 5 groups. Each group would build there Eiffel tower together. I was in the foil group. The 5 groups were the foil group, Cups group, Lego group, Spaghetti group,and the Pretzel. I liked making the Eiffel tower.

We are having game day today. I brought the game Slamwich I think it is a really fun game. Hudson brought Pok’emon,Yael brought a game that she made,Harper brought payday,Alex brought a Hatchimal game,Kenzie brought Tenzi,Jacob brought Connect 4. I love games. I like Monopoly,Sushi Go and Sorry. Games are so fun.

We are doing secret friends in class. It is really fun to do secret friend. We picked are secret friend today. I am not allowed to tell because Gev. Dowling said no. Do not tell Gev. Dowling I said that. I am so exited to start next week. We can give are secret friend’ things just we can not buy stuff.

We are moving into are houses. My partner is Hazel we made a black and white house. It is black for the background and white for the design. We decorated are house today. It was fun to decorate are houses.I moved into the house first.  Hazel will move in after I get 2 weeks in the house. It is fun to live in the house.

We went to the Audubon Nature Center. We learned about maple sugaring. We had some one who was guiding us around. Her name was Jessy.  She was really nice. We went on a hike and looked at maple trees and talked about maple trees. We made spile necklaces. It was fun making spile necklaces. We went to the maple shack and learned about how sap turns into maple syrup. We did a taste test with syrup it was fun.

We are finishing our math unit.  Our math unit is a lot of different things in math mixed up. My favorite part of are unit is subtracting. We are taking math assessments. We take 3 math assessments every unit.  We take the review test and then we take assessments B and then we take assessment  I really like math.

Are community project is so fun. We earn money by following directions,listening, getting work done and being quiet in the hallway. We earn for 4 weeks and then we by a house. If  we think we have enough money we can by the fancy house if not you by the plane house. You can get a deduction and the most money you can get in a week is 100 dollars the deductions are not getting 3 dollars not getting 5 dollars or not getting 10 dollars. The most money you can get is 400 dollars if you get no deductions. We also have a mayor a judge a housing commissioner and a supervisor of maintenance. I am running for mayor I hope I win the election.

The 100th day of school was so fun I really liked making a snack and 100 day math. My favorite thing to do of all time today was 100 day math. We did a lot of things today I feel like we did 100 things today.I love celebrating the 100th day of school.We made a snack with cheerios,chocolate chips,craisins and pretzels we had over 15 100 when we made the snack.I am glad we had a fun day I am looking forward to field day and are next 100th day of  school and are next 100 things in school and all my other school years I hope I have more and more fun in school this year and all my other school years I love school.
