student blogging challenge 3: fun with photos

I decided to draw a drawing a take a picture of it! but while doing so, I could not figure out what to draw. so I flipped to my sketchbook to one of my recent drawings. (hopefully, that still counts)

while drawing this, I wanted to draw something sea-like themed. so I drew the middle boy kinda floating in the water. but the page did not look full enough so I decided to draw two more characters. I really didn’t have any ideas on like a story or even names. I just wanted to draw something fun.

    Hi Mallory,
My name is Evelyn and I am from Canada.

What a cute picture! You draw very well. I love how each character has a different expression on their face. Even though you didn’t think of a story for them, they each seem to have taken on a different personality!

What is your favourite art medium? Sketching is fun in my opinion, but I also like watercolours when I get the chance. I love seeing the different colours blend together.

    Hi Mallory —
You are a very talented young lady! I think you could have a future as an artist. Have you ever tried using some drawing apps or programs on the computer? Do drawing apps exist for a blog?

I know nothing about blogs, so I find your blog very impressive! And it looks like you’ve been at it for a while now and are quite good at it. I’m not very good with computers, but just last week I discovered the Google Drawings app on my computer. I was able to pull a logo from my computer and add some text to it. Maybe with practice I’ll be able to create my own drawings on the computer.
If you have a chance you should check it out.

    Keep up the good work!
