***If your child was not able to get materials for the state float(s), DO NOT FEAR! You now have ALL WEEKEND! We will work on the floats on MONDAY!!!****

On T**MONDAY**, third and fourth grade will have time to design/decorate their state floats. We will have many of the materials available at school, however, many of the students have made a list and would like to gather materials from home to bring in. Please help your child find materials tomorrow (on their day off) to bring in if they wish.

Example of a possible float:

Third grade discussed the following:
*How did Veterans Day get started?
*Did Veterans Day used to have a different name?
*What was the coincidence with Veterans Day and WW1?
*How did a WW2 Veteran from Alabama change Veterans Day forever?
*How can we show we honor Veterans?
*What is life like for Veterans and their families??
*Why is the flag folded in a special way?
*What are some important landmarks we can learn?
