- What is this video about? What makes an argument “for the sake of heaven”
- According to this video, what makes something a disagreement for the sake of heaven? There are 4 interpretations:
1. Hillel and Shammi were still friends even though they argued
2. They had a reason to win besides for the sake of winning
3. Be open to admitting your wrong if you know you are
4. They were both right - What are some examples of disagreements for the sake of heaven in your life? What is the most efficient way to solve a problem? What about disagreements that are not for the sake of heaven? What to eat for dinner.
- What does this video tell us about God? Do you agree or disagree, and why? It tells us that god supports some arguments but not others. I agree with all the explanations except the last. I think that most arguments have one answer that by the nature of the disagreement is better than the other. I agree that you need to be open to the fact that your opponent might be right, but that doesn’t mean that in any important argument, you’re both right.
