My goal for reader’s workshop is writing predictions and showing evidence for if my predictions came true. I had to write ten predictions and give evidence if the prediction came true. I finished my reading goal in one week. My next goal will be trying to write 8 inferences in my reader’s binder. Again I will give my self two weeks to finish this goal. Here is a picture of my predictions.
What was the big idea that we worked on yesterday? I think the big idea was for the third graders and the fourth graders to work together and get to know each other. The idea that really stuck out to me was when we made the balloons. The balloons stuck out to me because
1. We all had to work together to make the tallest stack of balloons.
2 Within my team, we split up and had stations. When we went in stations it worked very well because everyone wasn’t yelling at each other. It helped that SKass didn’t give us a time limit.
When we were doing the puzzle game everyone was yelling at people and grabbing puzzle pieces. The goal was to make all the puzzles complete but since everyone was yelling at each other and they were grabbing pieces we didn’t finish all four puzzles.
My math project is designing a shelf for Gev. Denny. My partner is Lazimov. We have changed the project twice. First ,we wanted to make a jungle gym but that was way to hard. Then, we wanted to make a chair but it was hard to find a chair to make. Gev. Denny had mentioned wanting a shelf . We decided we are going to make her a shelf. We have already made pretty much all the measurements and drew a sketch. We still need to get the wood and go to the maker space. We are now focusing on going to the maker space to start building.
What exactly do I want to work on? I want to work on writing predictions and if they come true on what I read.
How will I know I know when I’ve reached this goal? I will know when I reached the goal when I have ten predictions. I will need to have time to stop and jot.
Is this goal reachable? How do I know? Yes, because I already have a few predictions that came true.
When will I reach this goal? I will give myself two weeks to work towards this goal.
