Vayakhel-Pekudei

Create/design a space in your home that feels special. It can be your personal “mishkan.” It shouldn’t just be your bed or bedroom. 🙂 You need to actually change a space in your house and put some work into making it feel different that usual. The mishkan had special objects – what will you bring into your special space?

In my comfortable place, I brought pillows, a blanket, and a stuffed animal. I chose that comfy chair because it is right near the TV where I watch Netflix so I thought that to make a comfy space, you need TV. I put the pillows around me so I felt safe and secure.

  1. Thank you for sharing this, Matan! It reminds of a rabbinic teaching, “m’shane makom, m’shane mazal; one who changes one’s place, changes one’s fortunes”.

It seems like you transformed a recreational place into a sanctuary for yourself — just like the mishkan in supposed to be!

    Yashar koah!
