Jewish Studies Reflection

Over the past week, I have been working on a final project for Jewish Studies. I have been writing a poem about god and making a drawing to go with it. This project has meant a lot to me because I got to learn and find out what God really means to me. This is my belief in God,

God cannot choose, nor back out.

God helps, on our paths of life.

God is a tree and helps us climb the branches.

That was part of my poem. I believe that God’s role on this earth is to lead people in the best paths. I feel like God has helped me in my life with being a better person. Whenever my brain is like “don’t do that”, that is what I believe God is. God is a voice or object that helps you be a better person. This class really has clarified my vision of God.

Sincerely,

Tefillah Reflection

For a few months, I was in musical Tefillah. I learned the words keva (structure) and kavanah (meaning).  Gev.Honigman told us to write a song with keva and kavanah. My friend and I  (Simon) made a song using keva and kavanah. I learned how to make a song and how hard it is to make a meaningful prayer with structure. We made a new tune to the prayer redemption to the song Mr.Blue Sky by E.L.O. That was really fun!!

Sincerely,
