Below I have linked my basic outline of semester one. These documents include: text we will read in our fiction unit, weekly language work, and our writing units. I have also included the learning targets and essential questions. As always in the world of teaching, things may change. This is just some more information to accompany parent orientation.
These are exciting book choices and I’m impressed about the personal growth you’re looking for within these kids as they meet these challenges. I know e is really excited about this too!
This is a beautiful and thought-provoking list of culture and genres—thank you for continuing to push the kids to reach out of their comfort zones and critically examine the perspectives of others in order to discover that they have much more in common with them than they realize.
