We love closing our eyes and thinking back to that first moment in the morning, before we might even realize we are awake. It is a Jewish tradition to start our day by saying Modeh Ani, thank you God for returning our souls and giving us a brand new day. What else do we want to say thank you for today?
Wow- Just by stopping and thinking about God, thinking about our souls, saying thank you, we can transform that which is around us into something Holy.
We always end our Tefillah together with praying for Peace, peace for our community, for the Jewish people, and for the world.
What is peace? To us adults, that might seem like a simple question- but I challenge you to talk to your children about it! We can’t always assume they know what we mean when we say certain words like holiness, peace, God and soul.
