What about the building process was challenging? it was not challenging because we did not have to use that many materials.

How did your build differ from your plan? (If your build was different than your plan, update your plan!) use wood instead of cardboard.

How did your group work well together during the build? What would you do again? we each had a part to do during the process.

How did your group struggle during the build? What would you change? we did not know how to build the tower.

What about the building process was challenging? we couldn’t find a good piece of wood to use.

How did your build differ from your plan? (If your build was different than your plan, update your plan!) we used yarn instead of lanyard for the rope.

How did your group work well together during the build? What would you do again? we each had a part to do during the build.

How did your group struggle during the build? What would you change? our structure would not stay glued together.

Title: Reflecting on The Gathering

– Your thoughts
– Your wonderings
– How you felt being there

I noticed that the people really liked that we were serving. It felt good when they said, “you are doing a great job.”

I wonder if the cop just gives the person the that comes because what if the person is not homeless or does not have some sort of disability. I felt good about giving the food because it was a mitzvah. also, it gave me 30 min. of my volunteer hours. now I have only an hour and a half to do. and it was so tempting to not eat the food we were serving.

Moses Reflection

Do you think Moses’s model of leadership in the Torah is important to us today? Why or why not? No because people are not always like moses and just because we are jewish doesn’t mean that we have to be like moses.
What have you learned about Moses’s life? None of what we studied because I knew all of the things we talked about before.
What have you learned about Moses’s leadership? He showed a lot of leadership traits.
How do you think you learned most about his life: through text study, skits, presentations, or something else? Why? My grandma because she was my 2nd grade teacher in hebrew school and she taught me all about moses and every thing we talked about.

Title: Rubberband Boat

This week in science to study potential and kinetic energy we created a moving boat using 2 rubber bands, 5 popsicle sticks, cardboard, 24 inches of tape, and 4 paper clips. To create the boat we went through the engineering design process, which is shown below.

My original boat:

My original design is….2 sticks, slingshot and paper clips

I believe my original design will allow the boat to stay afloat and move through the water because…we added paper clips for support on our boat

When I put my boat in the water tub this is what happened: it flung into the water

The changes I am going to make to improve my boat design are…we are going to take the paper clips off. maby add cardboard and we are rebuilding our boat with more tape.

My re-built boat:

I believe my new design will allow the boat to stay afloat and move through the water better because…it did

When I put my newly designed boat in the water tub this is what happened…. it floats and went farther in the tub

Some more improvements I could make to my boat are…. everything

This challenge was comfortable because…it was easy

This challenge was difficult because… I did not like my group

This taught me about potential and kinetic energy because…the band potentially flung the raft

Title: Rapunzel Planning Reflection

How did spending more time on planning to improve your final blueprint? it gave us more ideas to get R. out of the tower

How did your group come to one final plan after brainstorming several ideas? we all said our best and chose

Why do you think taking more time to plan was important? you come up with more ideas

Did brainstorming with multiple people help you come up with more ideas? How? yes because you get more brain power

What would you differently during the planning process next time? get more work done on our work.
