For me biggest accomplishment so far in the Sukkah process is when we got the First wall up it was very cool to see how the Sukkah was coming together. Another thing was when free finished putting the siding on one of the walls started to finally come together and look more like a shelter and not just like three walls.  When we started the Sukkah one of the big accomplishments as when we finished one of the walls and now we have all of the walls up and we did it in like 3 weeks which a big accomplishment.

  1. What has been your biggest FAIL thus far in the Sukkah process?  Please use as many descriptors as possible. Answer in at least THREE complete sentences. The biggest fail so far in the Sukkah process has to be when  one of the walls got stuck when we were trying to take it outside and we ended up having to work together to get it out. It was funny when the wall was just sitting in the doorway and everyone was just sitting around and trying to figure out how to get it out. we ended up having to tip off a piece of the wall to get it through but we learned our lesson and it didn’t happen again.

Describe one situation where you had a disagreement with a classmate.  Without using their name, describe the problem and EXPLAIN your SOLUTION.   Answer in at least THREE complete sentences. 1 situation where  I disagreed with a classmate was when we were figuring out how to get the supplies outside we had a disagreement about who was going to open up the door. And I ended up starting to do tasks when they are assigned.

  1. What advice would you give NEXT YEARS 7th GRADERS for when they begin to work on their Sukkah?  Answer in at least THREE complete sentences.

One piece of advice that I give is that you have to think a lot  about measurements and remembering how to do stuff and listening. and you really have to work a lot with your team cuz if you don’t end up working as a team stuff starts to fall apart and get an organized. Another thing is that organization and putting away is a big part cuz if you’re organized you won’t be able to find stuff and that can in turn slow down the process.

  1. If you could give yourself an overall effort grade thus far, what would you give yourself and WHY?  Be sure to cite at least ONE example to support your claim. Answer in at least THREE complete sentences.  If I could give myself in over after grade so far I would get myself like a B because I put a lot of effort in but there are some parts when I could have put more effort in and not have been so lazy and work harder and more efficiently. one example to support my claim is one time I had to start helping with a wall but instead I decided to paint my hands and I have a feeling that it affected the amount of work others in my group had to do.

  1. One thing I would like to improve upon is…. One thing I can improve upon is my lack of time management skills I am very good at putting off assignments until the very end and then having them catch up to me so with the Sukkah I tried to improve upon that and I feel like I could do better and start doing assignments when they were  assigned.

  1. What has this Sukkah building process taught you about yourself and how you learn?  Answer in at least THREE complete sentences. the building process has taught me that I tend to put assignment off to the very end like I said before.  and that my laziness can really get in the way and I am very easily distracted and that can make the building process more difficult. And Throughout the building process I feel that my time management skills  improving.

  1. In what ways have you improved at this kind of work (collaborating, building…)?  Answer in at least THREE complete sentences. the ways I have improved in my opinion is sometimes when I work in groups I can either let other people take on all of the work or work ahead of groups. and in those ways I hope I have improved so in the future I can work with teams easier.

  1. What advice would you give yourself if we could redo this entire process (what would you do differently the second time around)?

If we could redo the entire process I would try to focus more on one project then on everybody else’s projects. One thing I would do differently is to write down a list for the items we needed because we have a lot of supplies that we meant to buy that we either forgot or couldn’t find. So next time I would say write down a list for the supplies.

  1. What is one change you have had to make since our original design?  Why did you have to make the change

A change we had to make original design was with the length of the walls we realized that most of the wood that we had was too short so we ended up having to use 7 foot board instead of 8 foot long boards. We had the problem with the sizes because when we were at homedepot we grabbed 8 foot and 7 foot boards on accident

This is a cool photo for me because the window is like a big part of what makes the sukkah special. Also because favorite moment so far was going to restore and picking out materials. another reason is  so that it reminds me of how fun it was to pick up the materials and have to measure them to see if they were correct because they did not have any labels on them.

Buying items used makes it so that more of the item don’t have to be made. Making more of any item can make more pollution. Plus sometimes you can get things at a lower price when you buy it second hand.

  1. Please describe your experiences at ReStore yesterday.  Be sure to include sensory information such as smells, sights, sounds, sensations, and overall impressions.  Please include at least one photo from our experience at ReStore.

At ReStore there was a lot of broken/beat up items. But from what I saw the volunteers were very kind and ready to help. It was very fun to look at the stuff we needed because we had to measure the wood and window before we could buy anything.

  1. Please describe one item you were surprised about finding at Restore.  Why did this item stand out to you? If you purchased it, what are your hopes/desires for that item.  Please include at least one photo of that item.

  1. What is one part of our trip yesterday you really cherish and felt was valuable?  Please describe in detail why this part of the trip was important to you.

One part of the trip that was important to me was when we were all  reporting to each other what we had found and what we could do with the item and then helping other teams. because it made it feel like we were all working together in one team to get one goal.

  1. What is one part of our trip yesterday you would have changed if we could do it over Wasagain?  Please explain why and how you would do it differently next time.

  1. If someone who is not Jewish asks you what you are buying all the materials for, how would you best describe our project (explain in simple terms what a Sukkah is).   If someone asked me why we were buying the materials I would say that it is a special place when the Jewish holiday Sukkot comes around you can meet up with friends and family and  pray together as a community.

When we were picking out materials as a group  we had told wonder how we could use the materials and we had to use empathy to ask ourselves what we would do if we had to use the materials. and by using reused wood we were making it so more trees didn’t have to get cut down to get the wood floor.

  1. Please find the best photo from our trip yesterday and describe what it means to you.
