Day 3: Dig for a day

Hey guys this is Eva here to talk about Dig for a Day. First, we went into these under ground caves, which were really the basements of the people 2,000 years ago- pretty cool. Their basements were more than 40 feet down. It was so refreshing to be down in the caves; especially after not showering for two days and being in Negav. It was so cool to think that whatever you found hasn’t been touched for 2,000 years. I found a whole step continuing the stair case. Other people found bones, pottery, door handles, but no one found any script, which is so important in understanding the life back then. Some of the caves we went into were scary, to me at least, because there were really tiny holes you had to squeeze through and you couldn’t really turn back. But, it was so much fun and interesting, I would love to be an archaeologist, but I wouldn’t be good in small spaces . It was a really amazing experience and if any 7th graders are reading this, you’re going to have so much fun.
