My one word goal is Non-competitive because I am really competitive. Sometimes when I get really competitive I say how the teams are not fair or that I never get to kick and so on and so on. I really want to stop doing that and I want everyone to help me. The game is also not as fun when I get competitive and upset. 

For Global Experience 3rd and 4th grade is doing India. For my topic I want to do the Taj Mahal. I want to the Taj Mahal because my grandparents are going to the Taj Mahal in January and they could get me something cool from the Taj Mahal. The information I already know is that the Taj Mahal was dedicated to Mumtaz Mahal from Shah Jahan as a present. It took a long time to make it. I want to know which part of India the Taj Mahal is in. I hope to find out a lot more information on this topic.

I like doing the Gimelest competition. I like doing it because it is really fun and it is a good activity. I think all schools should do it because it is so much fun.

For math since Gev. Voras is gone we are doing a math project with third grade. We are making a fast food restaurant. Most groups have three people in it. My group is B Fox and H Mishalow. We have to decide how many tables we want and how much people can fit. We also get to chose what kind of restaurant you want it to be and what food there will be. When we are ready we get to chose how much much money the food should be. It is the most fun math project ever.

What do I feel good about?   I feel good about multiplying two digit numbers by two digit numbers. In reading I think  I am choosing grow book an sometimes easier books. 

Am I showing a growth mindset at school? I think sometimes I show a growth mindset but sometimes I show a fixed mindset. Sometimes I show a fixed mindset when I don’t want to learn the thing.

What do I still need to work on? I think I need to work on not rushing in math because today I rushed and had to do the problem again.

Today we did our first repairing together program. The two other schools we did it with were: Indian Community School and Bruce Guadalupe. We played lacrosse and learned about it’s history. For lacrosse my team won. We also had to shovel wood chips into a wheelbarrow. After the wheelbarrow was full we had to push it in to a pathway and we had to do that twice. When we finished doing all the wood chips we played tag on them. The first repairing together was so much fun.

Hi I’m doing a blog about cooking. I’m going to teach you new recipes.   Next time, I’m gonna teach you how to make a simple salad. Then I’m gonna move on to the harder things.

I went to Interlaken for four weeks. I was in cabin Benjamin. I was on top bunk. I had five counselors but when the two weekers left I got another counselor. My favorite thing to do at camp was to waterski. Camp Interlaken is so much fun.

What did you like about the Repairing Together program? I liked playing games so we could get to know the kids from Bruce Guadalupe and Milwaukee College Prep. I also liked  when we had to show something we liked about our school and my group did the letters MJDS because we love our whole entire school, but my favorite game was when the person who was in charge said something and we had to act like it but you were not allowed to look at what other people did and change what you were doing because everyone is allowed to do something different and what they think the word means.

What was challenging? At the beginning it was a little challenging because I did not know anything from the other schools and I was a little scared but a couple minutes we played a game to learn about people at Bruce Guadalupe and Milwaukee College prep and I learned about 10 people.

How have I changed? Before I went to Arts @ Large I was a little afraid of being with a lot of people I do not know but when we got on the bus to come back to school I feel a little more confident on meeting new people and being friends with them. The friend I got most close to was a girl from Milwaukee College prep and her name was Morgan.

Why is it important to meet people from different areas? I think it is important to meet people from different areas because who knows maybe we could become neighbors and remember each other from when we were kids and if I had been in the neighborhood for a while I could say hello and welcome them.

What do you do when you feel uncomfortable in a new and different community? Sometimes when I feel uncomfortable in a different community I stay by people who I know but I do not make friends when I do that so I am going to try to be less shy and instead of  being shy I am going to be open for conversations and new friendships. I had a really good time at Arts @ Large.

At Sarah Chudnow I think I had a really good time with my buddy and my buddy was kind of funny which I liked because I like funny people. I was also happy because she said nothing embarrassed her so I could ask her   anything about her.  We also played bingo there and it was really fun well 1 because I won a game and 2 because I just l like playing bingo. We also had Kabbalat Shabbat and I got to lead the  challah blessing with Noah because we volunteered on doing it. I had a really good time at Sarah Chudnow and I a can’t wait to come back or go to a different place like that next year!
